Ascend Hot Fitness, established in 2019, is an infrared heated fitness studio located in the heart of Hillsborough, New Jersey. We offer our community a variety of heated classes, including Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Barre, and high intensity interval training in a supportive and welcoming environment. My Story
Janine Tarlecki is the founding owner of Ascend Hot Fitness, an infrared fitness studio in Hillsborough, New Jersey. She is qualified to teach group fitness classes, including Hot Pilates, Hot Pilates + Weights, Nirvana Flow, Hot Yoga Sculpt, iRest Yoga Nidra (mediation), Sound Healing, and Yin Yoga. She is also certified to teach AntiGravity® Fundamentals, Aerial Yoga, Aerial Pilates, Aerial Restorative Yoga, AIRbarre, Cocooning, Aerial Kids and 1on1 aerial sessions.
Before establishing a hot fitness studio, Janine attended Drexel University and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Design and Merchandising, and she accepted a position as a fashion buyer upon graduation. During a successful seven-year career in the retail industry, she realized a dream of teaching and coaching kids and enrolled in an accelerated teaching program at Georgian Court University. During this time, Janine became a certified fitness instructor and began teaching group fitness classes in the community. She also coached a boy’s soccer team while earning her teacher certification. In 2013, Janine graduated with a Master’s of Arts degree in Education and began teaching at Hillsborough High School, where she has been teaching for the last nine years. She holds teacher certifications in Special Education and English. Her favorites stories to teach are Of Mice and Men, The Odyssey, and the play Romeo and Juliet.
In 2018, Janine took her first Inferno Hot Pilates class an hour away! She instantly fell in love with the class format and the heated room. She completed her Hot Pilates certification five months later. Being in love with fitness and helping others, Janine decided to open an infrared studio in the town she loved –Hillsborough.
